12-year-old Madison Heath from Nantwich was on electric form when she stormed to victory in the 138cm Grand Prix at Bolesworth International on Sunday 18th June.
Seven combinations made it through to the Jump-Off, which saw Madison compete with two entries. Madison and her 20-year-old pony, Sonas Barney were unstoppable in their Jump-Off, going clear in 30.96 seconds and taking the lead from Scottish rider, Shaunie Greg with Dumaclan Flight who had gone immediately before.
The youngster is no stranger to the international competition arena, having won the Mini-Major class at Bolesworth just three years ago. Speaking about her incredible achievement, Madison said: “I didn’t think I could beat Shaunie as she’s beaten me in the past. It’s unbelievable, I’m so happy.”
Madison now has sights set on Hickstead in June, followed by the British Masters International Horse Show in July.
